Why should one of your family members miss out on a brunch date just because they have four legs and a furry coat? We don’t think they should. And, with the array of paw-some, pet-friendly cafes around Brisbane, there’s no reason for them not to come with you!
Here’re a few of our favourite pet-friendly cafes in Brisbane:
1. Sassafras Canteen
88 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington
If their delectable all-day breakfast menu isn’t enough to persuade you to pack up your pooch and head to Paddington, then maybe their green garden bar with craft beers and organic ciders will. Sassafras is Brisbane’s first pet-friendly bar. Some of their dishes are named in dog themes, like their Peter the Poodle veggie hotdog, made from beetroot falafel and topped with avocado, tomato and roasted garlic aioli. Yum!
7am-4pm Mon-Wed and 7am-9pm Thurs-Sun.
3. Browndog Cafe
54 Logan Rd, Woolloongabba
One of the most deliciously adorable cafes in Brisbane! Take your pooch for a trip to Browndog where they can meet and mingle with other pets while you sip on an organic, cold pressed coffee or scoff into a sourdough sanga with oven roasted mushrooms and garlic.
Weekdays 6:30am-3pm and Saturday 6:30am-2pm.
4. Spokes Cafe
14/19 Main Street, Samford
Another Samford local, Spokes Cafe prides themselves on being pet-friendly, child-friendly and bike-friendly. Visit on a weekday between 6am and 7am to score a $3 happy hour coffee. With everything from fresh salads and green smoothies to milkshakes and homemade lasagne, they can satisfy your taste buds while your furry friend sits right by your side.
